A gas leak can quickly become a ticking time bomb. To ensure that emergency responders, such as the fire brigade, and safety personnel can prevent a gas leak from escalating into an explosion hazard, it is essential that they are properly trained. With the LION GasTrainer™, teams can safely learn how different gases behave, how to locate the source of a gas leak, and how to establish a safety zone in hazardous situations.
Electronic emitters for gas leak and gas cloud simulation
The GasTrainer™ uses electronic transmitters and sensor technology to simulate sources of chemical substances and explosive gases. Gas sources are simulated using electronic emitters that can be placed in workspaces, chemical storage facilities, and near equipment where real HazMat hazards may arise. With a portable device, trainees can measure simulated levels of oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and LEL.
Easy to use
Using the portable Instructor Unit, the instructor can set alarm levels, change the monitored gas, and even manually increase or decrease the displayed readings to create additional training challenges. With the included probe, students can practice taking spot measurements and locating sources in hard-to-reach areas.
